HOW TO REACH VENICE

From Venice Marco Polo Airport

  • By bus
    Venice airport is connected to Piazzale Roma Bus Station by scheduled bus services operated by ACTV and ATVO.
    ACTV line 5 connects the airport to Piazzale Roma in approximately 25 minutes; tickets cost €6 for a single journey or €11 for a return trip. You may also opt to purchase a combined 90-minute bus + vaporetto boat ticket for €12. For more information and detailed timetable please visit the ACTV website
    ATVO Express Service will take you to Piazzale Roma in just 20 minutes; tickets cost €6 for a single journey or €11 for a return trip (return tickets must be used within 7 days of purchase). For more information and detailed timetable please visit the ATVO website
    ACTV/ATVO tickets can be purchased in the arrivals lounge. ATVO tickets may also be purchased on board or online.
  • By boat
    Connection via sea from the airport to San Marco / San Zaccaria is provided by Alilaguna BLUE and ORANGE lines. A detailed timetable can be downloaded from the Alilaguna website
    Tickets cost €15 for a single journey and €27 for a return trip and are on sale from the Alilaguna Stand in the arrivals lounge. Discounted tickets can be bought directly online on the Venice Link website
  • By taxi / water taxi
    A taxi service operated by Radiotaxi connects Venice Marco Polo airport to Piazzale Roma. The journey lasts approximately 15 minutes and costs about € 40. You may contact RadioTaxi on: +39 041 5952080
  • You may also opt to catch a water taxi from the airport to Venice city centre. The total cost of the journey is approximately € 100 which could be particularly convenient for large groups as water taxis can carry up to 10 people and 10 suitcases.

From Treviso Canova Airport

  • By bus
    Venice Piazzale Roma can be reached from Treviso airport by quick and convenient bus services operated by ATVO and BARZI bus service.
    ATVO tickets may be purchased at an automatic ATVO ticket machine in the arrivals baggage hall or at the ticket office in the arrivals hall (open from 7.30am to 10.30pm) and cost €7 for a single journey and €13 for a return trip (return tickets must be used within 7 days of purchase).     Barzi connects Treviso Airport to Venice Piazzale Roma in just 40 minutes. Tickets cost €7 for a single journey and €13 for a return trip (return tickets must be used within 10 days of purchase) and may be purchased from the ticket counter in the arrivals hall or on board.

HOW TO REACH SAN SERVOLO

San Servolo can easily be reached by ACTV vaporetto boat route 20 from San Zaccaria “Monumento”, the waterfront adjacent to St Mark’s Square, in front of the Londra Palace Hotel. Journey lasts around 10 minutes with trips scheduled approximately every 20 minutes.
If you are arriving from Piazzale Roma or the Santa Lucia train station take either vaporetto 1, 2, 4.1 or 5.1 and get off at San Zaccaria, then change to route 20 to San Servolo.
Route 1 (from train station only): arrives at San Zaccaria “Danieli”, journey time 40 minutes
Route 2: arrives at San Zaccaria “Monumento”, journey time 42 minutes
Route 4.1: arrives at San Zaccaria “Jolanda”, journey time 26 minutes
Route 5.1: arrives at San Zaccaria “Danieli”, journey time 23 minutes

Regular 60-minute vaporetto tickets cost €7. Special tickets costing €4 are available for journeys from San Zaccaria to San Servolo ONLY.
Multiple day travelcards and discounted tickets for “CartaVenezia Card” holders are also available.
