10° SIMPOSIO INTERNAZIONALE SULL'ENERGIA DA BIOMASSE E RIFIUTI
HOTEL MONACO & GRAND CANAL, VENEZIA / 25-27 NOVEMBRE 2024

Come arrivare

The Symposium will be held in the Conference Centre of the Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal, located in the heart of Venice, just a few steps away from St. Mark’s Square.

Getting there is very easy as there are many waterbus stops right in front of the hotel (San Marco Vallaresso, San Marco Giardinetti, San Marco San Zaccaria) which are directly connected to the central railway station, Venezia Santa Lucia, and to Piazzale Roma bus station, one of the main tourist terminals in Venice and last stop for all four-wheel vehicles.
Fares and timetables of waterbus lines are available at: https://avm.avmspa.it/en/content/vaporetto

ARRIVING BY PLANE
All major airlines fly into Venice Marco Polo Airport (code: VCE), which is connected to the city by several means:
Bus
There are two bus services to Piazzale Roma: the ATVO Bus Express, faster (about 25 minutes) and leaving in connection with the arrival of many flights, and the ACTV line 5, taking about 35-40 minutes.
Taxi and water-taxi
You can find traditional taxis reaching Piazzale Roma in 20 minutes. You may also opt to catch a water taxi from the airport to Venice city centre.
Alilaguna - Easiest way to reach the venue
Alilaguna provides direct transportation between the airport and the conference venue. The Blue line (Linea Blu) directly connects Marco Polo Airport with San Marco square, stopping at San Marco Giardinetti right in front of the Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal.
The trip takes about 1 hour and a half. You can find all details and prices at: www.alilaguna.it/en

Treviso Airport (code: TSF) is also directly connected to Venice by ATVO Bus Express arriving to Piazzale Roma. All details are available on their website >

ARRIVING BY TRAIN
Getting to Venezia Santa Lucia railway station, you will arrive straight into the city centre and can decide to walk (about 30-40 minutes), get a vaporetto (waterbus) or a water taxi.

ARRIVING BY CAR
Arriving by car, you must park it at Piazzale Roma, where you find three parking areas open all day long: the Autorimessa Comunale, the Garage San Marco and the Sant’Andrea; moreover you have the Tronchetto, a wide car park on an island very close to Piazzale Roma.
